How To Get The Courage To Step Outside Your Comfort Zone

There were 5 baby frogs on a log. One jumped off. How many of them decided they wanted to jump off?

Actually all 5 decided they wanted to jump off but only 1 of them DID something about it.

The baby frogs still on the log got scared. This was there first time jumping in after all! But the one who jumped in felt a rush of absolute ecstasy at the way the water felt gliding over his skin. He kicked his legs and felt an exhilaration like never before as he shot through the water with ease. He called to his friends to tell them how amazing it was and that they must jump in! Some did, some could still not overcome their fear. But regardless, he was in heaven.

There is a difference between wanting to do something and deciding to do it and taking action on that decision.

Lots of people recognize that they WANT to change and that fear/doubt is not serving them and they are sick of it. But very few people actually take the leap and DO something about it.

In order to do something you’ve never done before you’re going to have to do things you’ve never done! That’s when some people shrink back but if change is to occur you must push forward despite the discomfort and once the bandaid is ripped off, it feels SO much better and you’ll wonder why you waited so long.

What are things that you like to do to grow?

Here are some ideas:

-Read a book(check out my essential reading list HERE)

-Listen to a Podcast(check out my favs HERE)

-Watch a motivational YouTube(I always listen to Abraham Hicks for an amazing “tune up”)

-Join a community that’s centered around growth. This could be virtual or live.

-Hire a Coach, Mentor or Therapist(make sure their legit…get referrals from others who got results! I’m biased but find someone that’s an NLP/Time Line Therapy Practitioner!) If you’re in Austin and need a Therapist, this is your gal! (Therapy By Amie).

-Go to an amazing seminar or training. Choose what speaks to you but NLP changed my life. For NLP Trainings, I highly recommend Yager Training in Austin, TX or Tad James Co in Vegas.

Notice that most of these are FREE! There’s no shortage of information out there and each person will express their wisdom differently, so find who or what speaks to you.
